Flamingo in Chicago Size:11"x14" Walking around Civic Center Park

Walking around Civic Center Park I headed up the steps of the Colorado State Capitol and was treated with a nice view of the mountains with still some fall color in the area

Designed by Fisher and Fisher in a style of Early Italian Renaissance Revival

Using a shallower depth of field so the bear is slightly out of focus my thought was to peer through the foliage nearby to give another perspective of the bear

With camera in hand I captured some images along the fresh snow

The area which I selected did not disappoint nor did the flow of traffic from multiple airlines at that time of night allowing for fine tuning of the process prior to the light disappearing

Flamingo in Chicago Size:11"x14" Walking around Civic Center ParkIn the plaza of the Federal buildings in Chicago is the Flamingo sculpture by Alexander Calder. This was the first time in many years I walked past this location and on this occasion the orange of the sculpture and the black background caught my attention. Instead of photographing the full piece, I chose the just photograph portions of the piece with the buildings filling the whole background.
